Cookie Policy

Pakstoor sets a small number of cookies, all strictly necessary for the service to work. We do not set third-party advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers.

Cookies we set

pks_sid — session cookie. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Lets you stay signed in across pages. Expires after 30 days or when you log out.

pks_lang — language preference (en or af). Stored in localStorage rather than as an HTTP cookie. No server-side use.

pks_user — thin cached user profile (name, email, initial) stored in localStorage. Used for fast UI hydration. Cleared on logout.

pks_favorites / pks_qa_* / pks_message_store — localStorage caches mirroring server-side data. Safe to clear; the server is the source of truth.

Cookies we don't set

Third-party advertising.
Cross-site tracking.
Analytics beacons that phone home to external vendors.

Managing cookies

You can clear all Pakstoor cookies and localStorage from your browser's settings at any time. Signing out through the profile menu clears the session cookie and wipes local caches; the next sign-in sets them fresh.
